Meet Mikaël Kingsbury

Mikael Kingsbury started to ski at age 4. He still remembers his first visit to Oberson. Since that day, his parents and him have always remained loyal customers and Oberson, in return, became Mikael’s first lifetime sponsor!

Mikael was born on July 24th, 1992. Since his early childhood, he has been rising through the ranks of acrobatic ski. These past years, as a member of the Canadian Acrobatic Mogul Team, he won numerous prestigious awards like the World Championship from 2012 to 2017, culminating with a silver medal during Sochi winter Olympics and 47 victories in World Championship.

This roaring lion is a born fighter. After his latest victories, his doesn’t shy away from anything that will allow him to pursue his dream. He’s working as hard as he can to achieve this year’s objective, claiming the world championship title for 2015. His strongest memory of the Sochi Games: On the podium when he received his silver medal.

When he’s riding, he wears Oakley as well as Columbia apparel and accessories. Every part of his equipment is important to him. Fashion-wise, he really likes the European styles and he never leaves home without a yellow bracelet!

When Mikael is not out skiing, he loves to play hockey and skateboard. He’s also pursuing his studies by distance courses. We asked him a couple of questions about his various trips and according to him, the best after-ski you can find is at Zermatt, Switzerland. His favorite restaurants are the Sushi Man in Vancouver as well as the Relais de l’entrecôte in Genève.

We wish him great success in the years to come and are all very proud to have supported him for all these years, and for the years to come!
