We are a passionate team of enthusiasts and dreamers. We are always seeking downhill thrills - in winter and summer - on our skis, boards and bikes. We want to share our knowledge and experience with everyone who comes into our stores.

Our origins are those of our founder Maurice Oberson. The mountains of his native Switzerland sowed the seeds and cultivated the immense passion for skiing that led him to open his first store in 1963. Oberson was born in the Eastern Townships’ snowy valleys.

We’ve been a family business since day one. Everyone who evolves in the Oberson family shares the same true passion, strives for achievement and carries on Maurice Oberson’s legacy. It’s in our DNA.

Family is of utmost importance to us. It’s what makes us who we are at Oberson. Our team is one great big, active family. Over the years, it has grown, developed and fostered our authenticity.

Many years have passed since Oberson’s creation. Today, we have two stores (in Laval and Brossard) and an online store that serves Canada from coast to coast. They allow us to offer the best of ourselves without ever losing sight of our founder’s passion and ideals.

We’ve all experienced the euphoria of skiing in powder, racing through a gate or coming to the bottom of a wild, intensely satisfying mountain bike descent. We believe that happiness can be found on the slopes, on the trails, on the roads and in the mountains. We’re passionate about our work but also about getting outside.
