Refund policy


Warranty policies

An order number or proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. All merchandise has a one-year warranty from the manufacturer for normal, non-abusive use. You should allow time for processing warranty returns. Repairs or exchanges are at the manufacturer’s discretion.

Sales taxes

Here are the sales taxes that will be applied to your order based on the province where it will be delivered:   

Alberta (AB) GST of 5% 

British Columbia (BC) GST of 5% 

Prince Edward Island (PEI) HST of 15% 

Manitoba (MB) GST of 5% 

New Brunswick (NB) HST of 15% 

Nova Scotia (NS) HST of 15% 

Nunavut (NU) GST of 5% 

Ontario (ON) HST of 13%* 

Quebec (QC) GST of 5% and QST of 9.975% 

Saskatchewan (SK) GST of 5% 

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) HST of 15% 

Northwest Territories (NT) GST of 5% 

Yukon (YT) GST of 5% 

Note that if you request in-store pickup, the shipping address listed in step 3 of the checkout process must be in Quebec for the correct tax rate to apply to your purchase. If this is not the case, the tax rate will be recalculated, and you will be required to pay the difference in the store when you come to pick up your order. 

You will be notified of the situation in advance. If you find yourself in this situation, you can enter the address of one of our two stores as your shipping address. 

For example, your billing address is in Ontario, and you enter the same shipping address (in step 3 of the checkout process) as your billing address but request in-store pickup (in step 4 of the checkout process). You would be required to pay the difference in the tax rate (13% vs. 14.975% in this case).

 


Price match

If you notice that Oberson’s price is reduced within fifteen days of the date of purchase, we commit to refunding the price difference in the form of credit (as a gift card or in your customer account). The product must be available in the same model, size, and colour and be from the same year. If you have made an in-store purchase, you must come to the store. For online purchases, please contact support@oberson.com.

 


Discount

Black Friday discounts and Boxing Day sales are only available on the dates announced. You cannot get these discounts on purchases made before or after the event.

 


Final Sale Products

For hygiene-related reasons, there will be no exchanges or refunds for purchases of base layers, underwear, bike shorts, liner shorts, bib bike shorts, ski helmets and ski goggles from which the security tag has been removed. (We put a security tag with a unique number on these products.)  

Items that are 50% or more off are final sale. In other words, these products cannot be reimbursed or exchanged. However, if you want to try on a product at 50% or more off, you can choose the in-store pickup option. This will allow you to try it on in the store and receive a refund or make an exchange if it doesn’t fit.

 


Refund

No refunds will be made from the Thursday to Monday surrounding Black Friday and from December 26 to 28.  

There will be no price adjustments on layaways.  

The fifteen-day price protection will be issued as a gift card (new or used merchandise within fifteen days). The customer must go to the store to obtain price protection. No adjustments can be made by phone. For online orders, please contact support@oberson.com with your order number.  

Forty-five-day refund on new merchandise, except for the dates mentioned above. 

Gift cards, both physical and digital, are nonrefundable.

 

If your order is eligible for a return/refund, a return label will be inside your package. Please note that we will deduct $13 or $23 (oversized items; over 100 cm) from your refund to cover shipping costs.

Please note that if you use your personal account with a carrier, you will not be charged. Simply provide us with proof of payment at support@oberson.com.

If you wish to avoid return shipping charges, you can return your package to one of our two boutiques in Laval or Brossard.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
FEES APPLICABLE TO CUSTOMERS
Customers can take advantage of Oberson's preferential rates by returning the merchandise via the carrier assigned to your order with the return slip included in your package.

AT THE SHOP'S EXPENSE
In the event of a shop error or a defective product upon receipt, you may send us the merchandise at the shop's expense. Please contact us at support@oberson.com to confirm this.

EXCHANGE POLICY
We accept returns for refund within 45 days of receipt of your package. Exchanges can only be made in shop. No exchanges by mail.

Oberson is committed to selling only first quality new products. Items must therefore be returned to us in new condition with the original labels attached to the item: no exceptions.

If a product comes in a box (e.g. boots, shoes, bindings), the box must be in the same condition as when it was sent. Oberson encourages you to reuse the delivery boxes in which the equipment is shipped. A $10 fee will apply if this is not the case.

If an item is returned without the original box, a refund will be made by gift card.

The final decision as to whether an item is considered new is at the discretion of Oberson. If you are unsure whether the product you wish to return is considered to be in new condition, please contact us before proceeding with the return.

Items sold at 49%+ off are considered final sale.

Items must be returned clean, odourless and free of pet hair.

No exchanges or refunds will be issued during the Fou Vendredi weekend and on December 26 and 27.

The following items may be returned if the security seal is still intact and attached to the product. If not, no exchange or refund will be made.
- Cycling bibs
- Cycling shorts
- Cycling underwear
- Boxers
- Bra
- food.

If you wish to make an exchange, we invite you to order the desired product and return your original purchase to us. This way, the new product will leave our warehouse more quickly. We will then refund your initial purchase when we receive your parcel at our warehouse.
